1In short
Without your consent wid.agency uses only necessary technologies — without them the site cannot work or remember your choice. If you click “Accept all”, Matomo visit statistics are enabled: they run on our own server stats.wid.agency and help us understand where people come from and which sections are useful. Without consent we only count page views anonymously — without cookies, a visitor number or the full IP. There is no Google Analytics, Yandex Metrica or advertising pixels on the site. We do not sell information about visits or share it for advertising.
2What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser to recognise you on your next visit. Similar technologies include the browser’s local storage, pixels — invisible images used to count views — and device fingerprinting.
Such technologies can be necessary — the site does not work without them — or analytics and advertising ones that track visitor behaviour. Under the GDPR the latter require your consent.
3The consent window
| Button | What is enabled | What is stored |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary only | What the site needs to work, plus anonymous page-view counting without cookies | A record of your choice in your browser, for 12 months |
| Accept all | Necessary technologies and Matomo visit statistics | A record of your choice in your browser for 12 months and statistics cookies (see below) |
Both buttons are equally visible, and refusing optional cookies does not limit the site. After 12 months the window appears again. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page.
4Necessary technologies
| Name | Where it is stored | Purpose | Period |
|---|---|---|---|
| wid-cookie-consent | Your browser’s local storage | Remember your choice in the consent window | 12 months |
| wid-suitcase | Your browser’s local storage | Remember the ticks in the “Packing for work in Dubai” checklist — only if you tick items | Until you click “Clear ticks” or clear your browser data |
These records are not sent to our server and contain no personal data — only your choice, the date and the ticked checklist items.
5Visit statistics — only after “Accept all”
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _pk_id | A random browser number to link repeat visits | 13 months |
| _pk_ses | Marks that a visit is still in progress | 30 minutes |
| _pk_ref | Remembers where you came to the site from | 6 months |
The cookies are set by the site itself (wid.agency, verify.wid.agency or sign.wid.agency), and the information goes only to our Matomo system at stats.wid.agency. It receives: your IP address and the country, region and city derived from it; pages opened, time and duration of viewing; where you came from; device type, operating system, browser, screen size, language, time zone and local time; clicks on WhatsApp and Telegram links and the fact that an application was sent.
Statistics records are kept for 12 months and then deleted automatically. We do not share them with anyone or use them for advertising. verify.wid.agency and sign.wid.agency have their own consent window — a choice on one address does not carry over to another.
6What happens when you open the site
| Who | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| wid.agency hosting server | IP address, time, page address, browser and device type | Running and securing the site; logs are kept for up to 90 days |
| Our Matomo statistics (stats.wid.agency) — only after “Accept all” | IP address, pages, device, referral source | Visit statistics; kept for 12 months |
| Anonymous counting (stats.wid.agency) — without consent | Page, referring site, device, country and city, time zone; the IP is cut to its first two parts | How many people use the site; kept for 12 months |
| Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) | IP address and browser information | Loading the Onest font |
| jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net) | IP address and browser information | Loading the icon set |
| Your browser | Regular cache of site files | So pages open faster; this is not a cookie or visit history |
Google and jsDelivr receive this information because your browser requests files from them. They process it under their own rules. We receive no data about you from them.
7Third-party websites
When you follow a link to Telegram, WhatsApp, Job Tracker (jobtracker.cc) or WID.System, these services may use cookies under their own rules. Please read their privacy documents.
8If the statistics change
On 28 September 2026 we enabled Matomo statistics and therefore asked everyone who had already made a choice in the cookie window again. If we add another service or start collecting more information, we will likewise update this document in advance and ask for consent again. Choosing “Necessary only” does not limit the site in any way.
9Managing cookies in your browser
Besides the consent window, every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data:
- Safari on iPhone: Settings → Apps → Safari → “Block All Cookies”.
- Chrome: Settings → “Privacy and security” → “Third-party cookies”.
